We are the MASTERS of the ITCHES to FIXES.
FORGET the rest ! You've just found the BEST!
READ: these ITCHES and SEE our FIXES.
Itches to Fixes"
Critter ColorZ was specifically designed from a unique "Itches to Fixes" list. We took all the parents' "*Itches" and created a product that is form fitted to make all of the necessary "Fixes".
ITCH: "We had to cut off our daughters beautiful hair/We had to buzz our sons head"
FIX: With Critter Colors those days are gone! No more hair loss. This tangle free formula takes the time of working out tangles and conditions as it extracts the parasites. No more will you have to settle for a product that destroys the hair, leaving it dry and brittle.
ITCH: "There are so many eggs! I will be here all night long removing them!"
FIX: No more extra long nights of picking! Critter Colors is formulated with an egg-loosening agent. In our laboratory tests we went from 350 eggs to under 10 - all of which slide from the hair easily with NO resistance. Promises to cut nitpicking time to 1/3 of the time compared to other products.
ITCH: "The eggs are so small we can't see them. They blend right in, some are even clear. I never knew there were so many colors."
FIX: See 'bugs' and 'eggs' turn brightly colored right before your very eyes. No matter the size or the original color. Even the clear and brown (dead) eggs take on the color making the eggs and bugs easy to identify and remove. Even feeders trapped under the skin are killed during treatment and GLOW for easy removal reducing infection. With other products the dead parasites and eggs that are unseen and often missed are left to fester and potentially cause infection.
Frequently Asked Questions & Answers
What are lice?
The adult head louse resembles a miniature ant that appears flat when viewed from the side through a strong magnifying glass. Head lice have a head, thorax and abdomen with six legs, but their two front legs are very large in order to grab onto the hair shafts. Head lice are naturally tan to grayish-white in color. When eggs are less then 24 hours old they are CLEAR. So are the LICE till they feed after they hatch. DON'T worry they COLOR very nicely too!
What is a nit?
Nits are louse eggs. They are small (about 1/32 inch), white to cream color, and oval in shape with a distinct cap. Itching and Nits are often the first signs of a head lice infestation.
What is the life cycle of head lice?
Head lice can survive on a human host for approximately 30 days. They generally cannot survive longer than 24 hours off the host.A female louse lays 3-5 eggs a day. The eggs hatch in 7-10 days and it takes another 7-10 day for the louse to mature and lay their own eggs. They lay eggs 20 days out of their 30 day life cycle. If you do the math, she lays 100 eggs before she dies. Not to mention at least 50 of her eggs will have hatched by then and have laid more eggs of their own too. It adds up fast. Infestations do not take long to happen. Hence, lice become overcrowded and begin to move to other hosts. By the end of approximately the 3 to 4 week .They must find housing for rest of the family.
What are symptoms of infestation?
The most common symptom is itching of the scalp, caused when the louse bites through the skin to feed on blood. Another thing to be concerned about is hair loss. The lice themselves are essentially harmless, although excessive scratching may cause bleeding of the scalp, which may increase the risk of microbial infection. They suck your blood and leave droppings in your hair as well as eggs. They are also like mosquito's in the sense that they "spit" when they bite, which can potentially transmit bacteria or even the common cold.
What should I do if I find head lice?
Don't panic. Don't be embarrassed. There is a solution. If you are not sure if what you have found is head lice, ask a school nurse or a doctor. They can help you identify lice and nits. If it is in fact head lice, AMo Solutions' Critter Colors makes the tedious task of cleansing the scalp and hair of live and dead lice and nits easy.
Are head lice harmful?
While many have thought head lice to be only a nuisance, recent scientific study refutes this notion. DNA technology shows head lice to be the same species as the notorious body louse which has long been associated with diseases such as typhus and relapsing fever. The potential for disease transmission via the head louse should not be underestimated.
Are head lice contagious?
Head lice can be spread whenever there is direct contact of the head or hair with an infested individual. Lice can also be spread through the sharing of personal articles like hats, towels, brushes, helmets, hair ties, etc. There is also a possibility of spreading head lice via a pillow, headrest or similar items.
Head lice do not jump or fly and generally cannot survive longer than 24-48 hours off the host.
Where do head lice come from?
Head lice do not come out of the air or from the ground. They are human parasites and have probably been here since the beginning of time. Desiccated (dried up) head lice and their eggs (nits) have been found on the hair and scalps of Egyptian mummies.
What is a nit-comb?
A nit comb is a specialized comb that is not usually found in the brush and comb section of local retailers. Look where lice products are sold. The teeth on the combs are designed to be so tight as to make it almost impossible for the small eggs to stay on hair when combed. In thirteen years of research, we have found that the long toothed nit comb or those with handles are the easiest to handle and often seem to be more effective then the short toothed style.
Can our pets get lice?
Head lice cannot be "caught" from pets but cannot survive on pets. They are human parasites and require human blood for survival.
If it makes you feel secure. Bathe your pets. With a flee and tick remover recommended for their use. ( Ours is coming soon! ).
